The Bush to Springs Walk (2 Day) is a classic combination of coastal walking, beach rambling and the sheer bliss of bathing in hot spring water heated by the peninsulas very own fault line!
Take the bush track that meanders down the ravine to stunning Bushranger Bay. Explore this interesting bay before following the cliff line to historic Cape Schanck Light Station. Stay in the award winning lodgings in the lighthouse grounds. The historic light station is one of the few still operating as it did during the early 1800's, surrounded by magnificent historic buildings. We can arrange to have your car waiting for you so you can dine in one of the many fine restaurants on the peninsula before heading back to your accommodation.
The following morning you might like to explore Pulpit Rock or catch a lighthouse tour before your guide takes you thru the coastal hinterland to the wild ocean beach at Fingal. Meander along the beach to famous Gunnamatta surf Beach. We leave the beach at sleepy St Andrews before the roadside walk to Peninsula Hot Springs where you can enjoy a long soak in the relaxing ponds. Your vehicle will be waiting at Peninsula Hot Springs or allow us to arrange travel to your next stay.
Complimentary pick up and drop off from Frankston Train station or anywhere on the Peninsula. Guide, Double Room accommodation at Cape Schanck Light Station, packed lunch Day 1 & 2, entry to Peninsula Hot Springs (Public Pools only-upgrade to private pool available), 600 mill water bottle Day 1 & 2. Duration:
Day 1 - It takes approximately 3-4 hrs to complete the walk to Cape Schanck and your first nights accommodation depending on fitness levels and length of the stop at Bushranger Bay.
Day 2 - Departs Cape Schanck at 9.30AM. It takes approximately 4-5 hours walking to arrive at Peninsula Hot Springs. You might expect to spend another hour or so bathing.
