Discovery fishing charters offer a real fishing experience, not just a boat ride. our experienced owner operators work hard to help you catch the big one.
We use a variety of fishing techniques on our 5 hour reef and game fishing tours to maximize your catch rate. It does'nt matter if your a beginner that's never fished before or an experienced angler. Our skippers and deckhands will provide all the guidance you need to achieve a good fishing technique. Women and children welcome.
We actively target a range of species in our semi tropical waters. Species include Snapper, Jewfish, Cobia, Sampson fish, Marlin, Tuna, Mackeral, Sailfish, Tuskfish, and many more.

Discovery fishing and Adventures Today provided us with a fantastic day fishing! The boat was fantastic and the skipper was friendly and very helpful. I booked for 6 and we all had a fantastic time, Mum even caught a shark! I would definitely recommend both Adventures Today and Discovery Fishing to a friend. I joined the 5-hour fishing trip on 21Oct 11. The captain of the vassel was very friendly and helpful. He taught us fishing skills patiently and logically. Very responsive to our questions and request.
I enjoyed the deep sea fishing experience very much. It is a value-for-money trip.

Was a good day out on the water, weather was against us a little with a strong wind and tides, and with the prime fishing spots not available the skipper seemed to lack the local knowledge to find the fish. In saying that the skipper was friendly and professional.

Skipper was fantastic. Sea sickness stopped us from fishing. But skipper dean did everything he could to ensure we were comfortable. The group caught a few beautiful fish. Including a tuna with a giant tumor.

Participant Guidelines
Safety of all our passengers is our first priority, upon boarding our vessels you will be briefed about our boats safety equipment and how to use it in the unlikely event of an emergency.
We advise all customers to listen to our experienced crews to ensure a safe day out on the water, we will brief you on the safe and correct methods of how to use our fishing tackle.
The Australian sun can be harsh, we advise all passengers to bring a hat and sunscreen to avoid the affects of the sun. Both of our boats are in current Queensland department of transport survey and are fully equipped with all required safety equipment, on board toilets, padded seats and full cover for protection from the elements.

Weather Exceptions
Our skippers constantly monitor local weather reports, We do not fish if high winds or big seas are forecast. It is very important that you provide a phone number that we can contact you on the night before your trip in case the charter has to be re scheduled or cancelled in the event of bad weather.
