Whichever time slot you decide to come play, we'll pick you up and take you to our office to complete the formalities of paper work and waiver forms etc. Collect some money from you and then it's all PLAY TIME!!!!

From here you get to meet your instructor, receive the required training necessary to make your skydive more comfortable, get harnessed up and then out to the plane. It's that simple! From here you'll get a scenic 20-25 min flight flying over the tropical rainforests and the reef before getting securely attached to your instructor, another brief practice in the plane and then it's time to move to the open door.

We'll talk you through the exit procedure and then out we GO! Our instructors will take care of all the hard work while you plummet straight down towards the earth at over 200 km/h (120mph) having the time of your life. With a bit of luck, the parachute will be open by 4000ft and then we float to the ground like a bird for the softest of landings. We guarantee it'll be the best thing you'll ever do with your clothes on (or off for that matter!).

From there we go back to our office where we edit the video's and get to view them on the big screen. Receive your first jump certificate and have a chance to check out the merchandise we have on offer for you to show off to all your friends and family. Then we take you back to your accommodation to enjoy the rest of the day.

Mission Beach
We use the Tully airport to take off from, then flying over rainforest to get out over the ocean. As we climb to height you can see Dunk Is. and many of the smaller uninhibited Islands around the area. On jump run, we fly along the coastline as we throw ourselves at the ground taking in some of the most amazing views of the reef and the beach. Under the parachute you may even get to see some wildlife swimming in the ocean if your lucky. Landing on the beach, this is one spot you won’t be forgetting in a hurry!

Skydive Mission Beach uses the safest and most reliable skydiving plane in the world. This large aircraft ensures not only a comfortable scenic flight over Mission Beach as you climb to 14000ft but gives you plenty of room for your friends and family to share an experience you will never forget.

Tandem skydiving is a safe and exhilarating way to enter the world of free fall. Our professional tandem masters are responsible for all the equipment activation and control of the parachute. You simply smile and enjoy the adrenalin rush of free fall as you travel at 120mph back to earth!

Take in those spectacular views of the Cairns hinterland as you fly under canopy for 5 to 7 minutes.

Our facilities include a viewing deck, BBQ area, Cinema, pool table and games room, free internet and plenty of skydiving action to keep everyone entertained.

Participant Guidelines

What to wear:
Comfortable casual clothes, shorts in summer and jeans or tracksuit pants in winter. We will provide you with a pair of skydiving pants to wear over your clothes and a Skydive Byron Bay t-shirt. You may also want to bring a long sleeve t-shirt or sweatshirt. Closed in shoes are a must, sneakers or runners that lace up firmly are preferable (no hooks). Most importantly don’t forget to wear a big smile!

Age limits and physical requirements:
The minimum age for tandem skydiving in Australia is 14 years of age and solo skydiving is 16 years of age. Any person wishing to partake in skydiving who is under 18 years of age needs their parent or guardian permission. You need to be a generally healthy human being with an average fitness level. 100kg - 110kg need to be assessed on the day by our drop zone safety officer.

How long will I be in freefall?
The amount of time you spend in freefall will depend on what altitude you decide to skydive from:
9,000 feet approximately 20-25 seconds freefall
11,000 feet approximately 35-40 seconds freefall
14,000 feet approximately 65-70 seconds freefall.

This is a full day tour and a 2 hr transfer each way from Cairns. If staying in Mission Beach then no transfers required.

Booking vouchers can be used at any one of our locations around Australia. After purchasing your voucher please contact us to ensure you secure a spot at your preferred location.

An Australian Parachute Federation levy of $35.00 is payable on the day (only applies to 1st jump). APF levy charges do not apply to Australian Parachute Federation license holders.
