For the highlight of your holiday join us for the utlimate indulgence in romance and adventure by taking a wonderful one hour hot air balloon flight over the Gold Coast.

Float gently with the winds for one hour, rising 1,000 – 2,000 feet above the Gold Coast. The experience is amazing - it's like being on a magic carpet ride, with incredible views from Brisbane to Byron and over the whole of the Gold Coast. We fly every day of the year (weather permitting), always early in the morning when we float with the gentle winds at sunrise.

Participant Guidelines

CONGRATULATIONS you are about to experience the romance and adventure of the oldest form of flight, in a Hot Air Balloon. To make your experience as enjoyable and as memorable as possible, here are some helpful hints:

* A friendly staff member will collect you from the lobby of your accommodation in our pick-up vehicle on the morning of your flight. The time of pick-up will be advised when you make your flight booking. Because we only fly once a day, just after sunrise when the breezes are at their calmest, an early morning pick-up is essential.

* Casual clothing is suggested and closed toed shoes (sneakers/joggers/walking shoes) are a good idea as we sometimes launch and land in a paddock with long grass, which can be wet.

* It is no colder up in the air than it is when you walk out of your front door, so just wear what you are warm and comfortable in. Layers are a good idea as it gets warmer as the morning proceeds.

* Don’t forget your sunglasses, camera (reliable batteries) and a hat if needed.

After your spectacular flight, we help pack-up the balloon and head back to the Lakeview Restaurant at the 5 star Palm Meadows Golf Resort for a lovely Breakfast. After such a memorable flight it is relaxing and enjoyable to sit back overlooking the lake and golf course at Palm Meadows with your fellow passengers. During breakfast we present you with your personalised Flight Certificate, a memento of your flight. After some group photos our crew will return you to your accommodation about 4.5 hours after you started.

Booking Notes

Children under the age of 4 cannot fly in a balloon.
The child price is for children aged 4 - 14 years of age inclusive.

Departure Time

The departure time will vary during the year according to the time of sunrise. The time of pick-up will be advised when you make your flight booking.

Session Length

Approximately 4 hours after the start you'll be on your way home with some wonderful memories of a very special morning.

Numbers on the day

Our balloons take 5, 10 or 16 passengers so you will be flying with others. The larger balloon baskets are divided into compartments that take 4 or 5 people per compartment. Everyone gets to plenty of space and part of the edge to lean on and look out from.

Weather Exceptions

Ballooning is a weather dependant activity and if it is too windy or raining we can't fly. Please take this into account in your planning so there is time to reschedule your flight if needed.
