Come along for the ride, you will have the time of your life on Puffing Billy.
The Dandenong Ranges contain some of Australia's finest mountain gardens. Many are open to the public and all boast splendid examples of regional plant life. Travel amongst lush rainforests alive with Crimson Rosellas, lyrebirds and wildlife. See the beautiful Sherbrooke Forest noted for its tall mountain ash eucalypts and fern gullies. See the quaint towns busy with craft shops and beautiful gardens and restaurants.
Puffing Billy the much loved steam train has carried millions of visitors through the Dandenong ranges. It began operating in December 1900 and has emerged as one of Victoria's popular Tourism attractions. The original steam locomotive pulls the little train that runs through the ferns and forests of the Dandenong Ranges.
Australia's oldest preserved steam railway takes the scenic route from suburban Belgrave all the way to the pretty town of Gembrook.

We had a great tour guide, which makes all the difference.
Great sense of humour and kept it very interesting. It was a nice day out, although the price was a little steep, although it seems that that is the norm. I would've preferred around the $60 mark, but still great nontheless.

Simply loved it. It was a great family outing. Sitting on the edge of the train window was unforgettable, we love letting the hair loose and watching the world go by during the ride. It's like being a child again.
Thanks for the experience.
