It is the tapestry of great ecosystems that creates the beauty of Kakadu. Sandstone escarpments shaped by an incomprehensible time span; monsoon forests and flood plains; great rivers journey serpentine to the sea; stunningly beautiful billabongs and lagoons are richly clad in a profusion of colour by glorious water lilies and edged by pandanas and paper bark trees; birds of every size, every hue and every song; fearsome crocodiles on the mudslides of billabongs; Aboriginal artwork painted on rock cave walls.
This place is creation in its wonderful diversity... This place is Kakadu National Park.

The park and the cruise were AWESOME!!! We enjoyed every minute of it. Other than our driver being a chain smoker, he was fine. Our only disappointment was the Wetlands stop; we could not hear OR understand the speakers, since they had no microphone and we are not native Australians. However, we DID need a restroom stop, and I assume that is the purpose. The wetlands were beautiful, just the presentation that we did not really benefit from at that stop. Overall, the tour was GREAT!!!

We did NOT enjoy the wetlands stop; we could not hear or understand the presenters. That should be eliminated. The rest of the trip was very good to excellent. The lunch was excellent and the yellow water cruise was awesome!!!!! Our guide was not the most personable guy, but he did a good job.
