Climb into the truly adventurous underground world and explore a maze of underground ‘boulder’ caves where you will find phosphorous ‘glow’ worms & cave crickets. Participants are given a safety talk and a description of the unusual granite boulder cave formation, before exploring various parts of the cave system.
A total of 2 - 4 hours can be spent underground exploring before we surface. During our caving we usually get wet and muddy although as the caves are at the head of a gully, they will not flood while we are underground. The 2 locations available for this activity are suitable for beginners & intermediate caving experiences. A day of fun & adventure awaits the bold!
Transport from meeting point at Dandenong or Lilydale Station or self drive and then 4WD to caves, morning tea & picnic lunch, professional caving guides, all caving & safety gear including ropes, helmets & headlamps.
