The PADI Advanced Open Water program provides the novice diver with a structured, well supervised means to gain additional experience. Itinvolves students in various underwater tasks that broaden their awareness of the environment and their capabilities as divers.
It will not make the student an expert scuba diver, but rather gives them a taste of what more specialised diving activities have to offer. The program is designed to develop skills under the supervision of an experienced diving instructor so the student will feel comfortable in a variety of situations. Students will learn how to dive at night, navigate underwater, explore greater depths and much more!
Totally "Hands On", very little class work and no exam.
The diving course may be taken by a certified PADI Open Water Divers, or those who hold an approved equivalent dive instructor rating. It consists of five open water training dives, three core dives (required dives) and two elective dives.
The three compulsory dives are as follows:
1. Underwater Navigation (combining natural and compass)
2. Wreck
3. Deep
PLUS two elective dives of either:
1. Fish ID
2. Underwater Naturalist
3. Underwater Photography ($50 AUD extra for Digital Camera hire Includes CD)
4. Diver Propulsion Vehicle ($50 AUD extra for scooter hire)

Participant Guidelines
Things you need to bring:
- Dive Gear (Hire of equipment can be obtained for $150 for duration of the course)
- Two passport photos for your Certification Card.
- Open Water Divers Certification Card.
- Dive Slate.
