Tandem Thermal Paragliding is for those who want a little more adventure from their paragliding experience!
Due to the nature of the flight, we launch later in the day than a basic glide flight. This allows the sun to warm the earth's surface (such as rock-faces or large buildings), which sets off thermal currents rising through the air. Sometimes these may be a simple rising column of air; more often, they are blown sideways in the wind, and will break off from the source, with a new thermal forming later.
Once a pilot finds a thermal, he or she begins to fly in a circle, trying to center the circle on the strongest part of the thermal (the "core"), where the air is rising the fastest. Expect to climb to around 1200 metres above sea level (conditions dependant) and then a glide to the landing paddock. The Thermic Paraglide will last around 30 minutes*.

You must be 15 years or older to participate in this experience and weigh less than 130kg.

Booking Notes
You will need to sign a waiver prior to participating in this experience. As a requirement of this experience, you will also be signed up as a trainee member of the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia, which is included in the price of the experience.

The price quoted is for one person. You will be with your paragliding pilot on the day of your experience. We can cater for groups up to 20 people.
Weather Exceptions
Paragliding is a weather dependent activity and it is always dependent on conditions as to where it is possible to fly. Your pilot will discuss with you potential routes and locations on the day. This experience may be affected by the weather. Please contact us two days prior to your flight to check weather conditions. In the event of unsuitable conditions, your experience will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.
