Rainbow Valley's breakaway escarpment is one of Central Australia's most magnificent rock formations. Only accessible with special permission from the Aboriginal people, you will have the opportunity to understand Aboriginal culture and how they have lived in this harsh environment for thousands of years. The silence and sense of Aboriginal dreaming is ever present!
* Head out South Road and on to the Stuart Highway passing the West MacDonnell Ranges
* Pass through open spaces of Mulga woodlands
* Native and introduced grasses, Desert Oaks and Gravilleas
* Meet our Aboriginal guide at the Rainbow Valley ranger station
* Enjoy a bush lunch of salads, cold meats, damper and bush Billy Tea
* Take a bush walk with our Aboriginal guide at Rainbow Valley rock art site
* Learn about the art, flora, fauna and bush tucker of the Wurre region
* Take in the timeless solitude of Rainbow Valley breakaway
* Walk to Mushroom Rock with your Aboriginal guide
* Look for Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and Wallabies
* Sip champagne of juice with nibbles and watch the outback sunset at Rainbow Valley.
Hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, bottled water and a reasonable level of fitness and agility are requird when participating in walks. All walking is subject to weather conditions.
